Guidelines for traveling to turkey

     
  • When you arrive to Turkey, you will receive a message via your mobile phone, which is a communication service from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, please keep this message for reference when needed.
  • You must make sure of the possibility of whether the companions under your sponsorship can get a visa to the Turkish Republic or not, and apply for visa through electronic visa system if they can.
  • Qatari citizens, upon their arrival to the Turkish Republic, must contact Qatar Embassy to inform them of their place of residence, and send a copy of their passport to it..
  • Inform the Approved Qatari Mission in the host country of your presence, and your companions if any, and how to contact you when necessary.
  • Do not bring amounts in Qatari Currency due to the difficulty of exchanging it.
  • In case of traveling with non-Qatari companions or workers, the citizen (sponsor) must obtain visas for them and inquire about the procedures followed in this regard.
  • In your arrangements and bookings for airlines, accommodation, and transportation, make sure to deal with Authorized, licensed, and trust worthy travel agencies.
  • Comply with regulations and laws of the Republic of Turkey, abide by the travel terms and regulations of the global aviation, comply with all safety procedures at airports, and do not carry any prohibited items.
  • Save the official documents of passports, flight tickets, and Valuable personal belongings in safe places.
  • In the Republic of Turkey Taxis are yellow, and have a taxi sign on top of the car, each with its own station group bearing it’s name on a board hanging on the right of the front windshield of the taxi, it is preferred to use taxis from these stations, and there is also a public bus service, but be aware of theft when it’s crowded.
  • Do not Pawn your passport or ID card to anyone at any case.
  • Do not carry jewelries or valuables while traveling, and don’t carry large amounts of money, and use a credit card instead.
  • Pay careful attention to your children while you are in the markets or any crowded place.
  • Keep the numbers of the state of Qatar Embassy with you for reference when needed.
  • In the event of any problem - God forbid – you should inform the nearest police station and the nearest diplomatic mission of the State of Qatar, and notify its officials of the content of the problem.
  • Do not allow the security services in the host country to search your accommodation without a search warrant from the competent authority.
  • Demand to contact Qatari mission immediately if you were detained or investigated with in any case.
  • Do not respond to people who inquire about your nationality or ask you to show your ID card before checking their official capacity.
  • Keep your Passport and ID card numbers (or copies of them) for reference in case of passport loss.
  • Do not visit suspicious or questionable areas.

Make sure to have tourist brochures of the Turkish Republic, which will make it easier to see tourist cities.
