Expo 2016 Antalya Celebrates Qatar's Day

Antalya, October 03 (QNA) - A Qatari day was celebrated in the Expo 2016 Antalya as part of Qatar's participation in the event, which started on April 23 and lasts until October 30.

HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi attended the ceremony along with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al-Shafi, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Antalya Governor Munir Karaloglu.

HE Al Rumaihi expressed his delight at participating in the celebration of the Qatari day, which was organized as part of Qatar's participation in Expo 2016 Antalya that also features the International Green City Conference and the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) EXPO Conference.

The minister said the international exhibition goes in line with Qatar's National Vision 203, which established environment as one of its pillars, highlighting the significant achievements of increasing the share of green areas, the environment-friendly practices and the smart procedures carried out to face the challenges arising from scarce water resources and soil salinity.

For his part, the Turkish foreign minister said the Qatari pavilion has become a symbol of the distinguished ties between the two countries. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Qatari government and officials for their support for the Turkish companies operating in Qatar. He also stressed the continuity of relations with Qatar at the highest levels. (QNA)
