Turkish President Meets Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs

Ankara, May 05 (QNA) - Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met here today with Qatar's Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, on the occasion of his visit to the Turkish Republic.

At the beginning of the meeting, of HE the Minister of State for Defence conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani to the Turkish President and his wishes for him and for the Turkish people further development .

From his part, the President of the Republic of Turkey asked HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Emir, and his wishes for him of continued good health and happiness and the Qatari people more progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, they discussed relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, and ways of enhancing them, and exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, especially in the military fields, besides overall situation on the Arab and international arenas.

HE Dr. Al-Attiyah, also met separately with Turkish Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz , and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to discuss issues of mutual interest and ways of developing them to serve the common interests of two countries.

The meetings were attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi, and the delegation accompanying HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs .(QNA)
