Doha, June 13 (QNA) - The State of Qatar is participating in the fourth edition of Turkey’s international Holy Quran competition ", represented by Mohammed Abdullah Mohammed Belidah.
The Qatari contestant is competing along with 89 reciters from 55 countries for the memorization and recitation of the Holy Book, currently being held at Fatih Mosque in central Istanbul.
Qatar participated in the third edition of this competition for the year 1436 AH - 2015.
The contest aims to promote the Quranic culture and encouraging memorization and recitation of the Holy Book. (QNA)
