U.S. Expresses Doubt Over Actions of Countries Blockading Qatar

Washington, June 20 (QNA) - The U.S. State Department expressed doubts over the allegations the GCC used to put the State of Qatar under siege, particularly Doha's alleged support of terrorism.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert expressed Washington's surprise that the GCC member states which enforced the siege on the State of Qatar are yet to make public its alleged claims made towards Qatar. She added that "doubt is raised about the actions taken by Saudi Arabia and the UAE," the longer they take to make those claims public.

Nauert's remarks came compatible with what HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said Monday on his surprise that those countries are yet to present their demands. His Excellency said that Qatar was not enemy to those countries, confirming that they are asking Qatar to comply with requests they have not made directly. His Excellency stressed that everything must be done through dialogue. (QNA)
