Turkish President Meets Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met here today with Qatar's Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, on the occasion of his visit to the Turkish Republic. At the beginning of the meeting, of HE the Minister of State for Defence conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani to the Turkish President and his wishes for him and for the Turkish people further development .


HH the Emir Meets Turkish Prime Minister

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at his Emiri Diwan Office on Thursday the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu, and the accompanying delegation. Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them, in addition to a number of issues relating to the developments in the region.

Qatar Participates in Turkish-Arab Forum in Istanbul

Istanbul, April 28 (QNA) - The State of Qatar today participated in the 11th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum (TAF 2016) which was convened in the Turkish city of Istanbul with a delegation led by HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani.


Qatar Condemns Explosion in Turkish Bursa City

Doha, April 27 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has expressed strong condemnation of the explosion in the Turkish city Bursa, near the Grand Mosque today that killed and injured a number of people. In a statement issued today, the Foreign Ministry said that such acts which aim to terrorize the innocents and destabilize peace and security contradict all values, ethics and humanitarian principles and divine religions.


Minister of Culture and Sports Attends EXPO 2016 Opening

Representing the State of Qatar HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali attended the EXPO 2106 exhibition hosted by Turkey in the city of Antalya. HE Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi also attended the exhibition opening ceremony.


Turkish Grand National Assembly's Speaker Meets Qatari Ambassador

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey ( Parliament ) Speaker Ismail Kahraman has met with HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey Salim bin Mubarak Al-Shafi . The Speaker Turkish National Assembly praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, and the keenness of the governments of both countries to strengthen their cooperation in all fields.


HH the Emir Condoles with President of Turkey

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani has sent a cable of condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey in which HH the Emir expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the victims of the terrorist bombing which took place in the centre of Istanbul today, praying to Almighty Allah to grant the victims rest and bless on the injured quick recovery


Qatar Condemns Bombing Attack in Istanbul

The State of Qatar condemned Saturday the explosion that took place in Istanbul, Turkey and led to a number of casualties. Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement to express condemnation of the attack. The statement said that such criminal acts were in contrast to the principles of Islam and humanity. It also violates international laws, the statement added.
